The family life for Christians functions differently than family life for nonreligious families or families of other faiths. The Christian family is much more than the nuclear family of husband, wife, children; and it’s more than just marriage, singleness, and parenting. In reality, the Christian family life, is a dynamic combination of the biological and spiritual interaction that creates the church, also known as the body of Christ.

Our lives are shaped by conflict. Some might enjoy conflict too much, while others might avoid it altogether, but we all need to learn more faith-based, biblical ways of addressing the inevitable conflicts in our lives. In this series, Pastor Pender, will look into how to alleviate conflict in the areas of home, church, and work, referencing biblical resources for seeking reconciliation and wholeness in these relationships.

We are living between two advents: the incarnation and the second coming of Jesus. This series explores how we should live in this “in-between.” How do we live in light of Jesus’s ministry while waiting for his expected return?

This series examines doubt in the life of a Christian. Through the experiences of biblical characters, we can see that doubt pushes believers toward a deeper understanding of faith. This reveals that God’s desire is that we walk with him in our seasons of doubt. That He may strengthen, encourage and mature those who seek Him.

This series explores the seven “I Am” statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John. Each “I Am” declaration illustrates a specific revelation of Jesus’s character and testifies to his divinity. Also, each of the “I Am” proclamations reveal our spiritual needs and how Jesus perfectly meets each and every one of those needs.

This series examines our responsibility to our neighbors. The term “neighborhood watch” often evokes a fear-based mentality. This series looks through the lens of the biblical narrative and rather than fearing others, we must widen our idea of what our “neighborhood” is along with our responsibility to the neighborhood.

Being a part of God’s family should be a powerful force in our life. A loving and honest community is where real belonging and, therefore, real transformation happens. This sermon series emphasizes the importance of living authentically with each other by sharing our stories: the true testimony of who we are and who God is for us.
